video still capture device
This is a little off topic, but there is a lot of knowledge on this board.
I would like to find a portable video still capture device which saves to flash media (SD, memory stick etc). The application is in a medical setting, people often need to capture stills from a video laparoscope or other such device. Obviously you can do this with a Canopus device attached to a PC, but that is not a very mobile solution. Something pocket sized would work.
A DV camera with video input is probably what we will go with, but a device like I have described would be ideal.

There are PCICMA cards made for laptops which will capture stills from a video stream.
