I was stabilising some footage with people (faces) in it and the whole video just looks bad and the faces blurry.

Is there a way to overcome this ?
How do you stabilise footage with faces in it ?

Depends greatly on the degree of stabilization being added- it’s designed to help mostly stable usable shots not turn handheld into tripod. Share an example shot for more advice.

ok, so now I realised where the issue (probably) was..

There were a few frames where the face was out of focus.. normally, it was almost unnoticeable but with the stabilisation activated it was way worse..

Except for the stabilization mode specifically called “tripod.” 🙂

Worked for me just the other day with interesting results. Now you have a shot with the foreground object locked off solid, but the background is somehow magically moving around behind it!

unfortunately, the video wasn’t shot by me.. I was doing just the editing.

I was actually looking into buying a steady cam for moving shots.. not crazy expensive and pretty good results from what I’ve seen.
