I will lay out exactly what I am using first:
Canon XA20 camcorder with a 64 bit transcend class 10 sd card. Shooting at 59.94 frame rate progressive mp4 35 Mbps 1920 x 1080 HD

editing work done in Premier Pro CC. exporting at h.264 . Tried most of the vimeo presets and a lot of other combinations, but problem persists .

    Problem:

Picture looks great after export in windows movie viewer. After uploading to vimeo, Picture still looks great on my tablets, smartphones and newer high resolution computer screens, but does not look good at the player size on our laptops( hp elitebook) and older computers ( 2009). The picture quality does get much better on the laptops and the older computers when we increase the size to actual size( clicking the little arrows on far right of player). On these older computers and laptops it has a jagged edge, pixeled look at the player size.

My question……is there any way I can make my videos look better at the player size on the above named devices? I am sure some of my clients will be watching my videos on older computers and laptops. Right now my only option is to tell them to increase to actual size( arrow button).

Thank you in advance for your help

[Aaron Shaelling] “on older computers and laptops”

It’s a bummer. You may be experiencing the problem of pixel pitch and there’s nothing you can do.

(I know people who still watch SD tv.)

The amazing thing to consider is how device and browser agnostic vimeo, youtube, etc have to be.
