  Video Previewing on an external monitor CS4 and CS3 mac

  Im having trouble connecting my monitor via firewire to a dvd burner, nothing is showing up durning the ram preview, I followed my classroom in a book directions. maybe I’m missing a simple step, please help its frustrating!! I want to color correct in peace.
