    I’m slightly noobish.

    How it looks in Vegas:
    vegas_screen.jpg

    How it looks rendered:
    video_screen.jpg

    Render settings:
    render_setting.jpg

They want these videos high-quality, so those settings seemed to be pretty good. But let me know if there’s a more beneficial output settings. I’m recording using a Canon Vixia HF10, and uploading to Vimeo (which requires a 1.0 pixel aspect ratio).

I’ve noticed things getting a bit out of place after rendering a few times and haven’t been able to nail down exactly what I’m missing.

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Your project settings don’t match your render settings which is why “Video Preview != Rendered Video”

Also, your project is set for Standard Definition DV 4:3 720×480 and your camera shoots High Definition 16:9 1920×1080 and it looks like you want to deliver HD 16:9 so…

Set your project to HD 1080-60i (1920×1080, 29.970 fps) to match your camera footage and re-edit the video so that it looks proper at 16:9. Then render using the settings you were using and you’ll get “Video Preview == Rendered Video”.
