Video Preview / Adobe Q32 Server Crashing
Hello All,
Please let me know if there is another place I should be posting this.
I am running Adobe Premiere Pro CC 8.0.0.
My system specifications are:
Processor – 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
Memory – 28 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics – ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB
OS – OS X 10.9.2I am experiencing a recurring problem where the video preview window (whether it is set to composite video or one of the scopes) will stop updating and refuse to change while I am editing. When that happens, Premiere will stop letting me play back my timeline. It doesn’t lock up, and I can still access all the menu items. It will still render, but it will not play back. I have noticed that the process “Adobe Q32 Server” stops responding when this happens. Resetting the workspace does not fix anything. The problem can be fixed by restarting Premiere, but it eventually happens again.
I am guessing this is something causing the render engine to hang, but I can’t seem to find anything online describing a fix. I have tried deleting the preview files for the project, clearing the media cache, updating OSX, and updating Adobe Premiere based on other posts I have read online.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
-Daniel
