I have a macbook pro. I want to see and edit my timeline on the macbook. I want the video output to appear on a sd monitor next to it. I have a canopus box a firewire 400 cord and a rca cables (red, white, yellow).

I can’t figure out what settings to make my project view on the monitor. I have the firewire coming out the mac to the canopus. From the canopus I have a the RCA cables going to the tv. I can’t see anything yet.

    Please help

If you are editing in SD, the Canopus should work fine. I’m nit sitting in front of my machine right now but I think you just go into view and select the FireWire device for output. You’ll also want to select “all frames”.

    Thanks,
I had to go into my setup and select a firewire setting then refresh my av devices. Also had to be sure the rca cables were in the correct output ports.

    It works now.
