Hi all, a slight problem that’s doing my head in – footage dropped onto my working window appears blurred & pixelated.

Using CS 5.5, and footage straight from a 5DMKII – native files. I realise this is the wrong way of doing things however the clip has been cut and everything is fine apart from this nagging issue that’s preventing me from exporting in the highest possible res.

I’ve attached an example of what’s going on, however the pixelation is much more pronounced even when exported to a smaller size.

Viewing options are all set to “full res”.

The sequence here is 1920×1080 in desktop mode, square pixels.

    OSX 10.7.3
    16gb RAM

    Hi Oli,

Could you verify that both your sequence and nested sequence have the same settings?

Also, you didn’t mention your program window settings, half or full resolution.

This was doing my head in too, for me it was caused because I was importing video and graphics with 1:1 aspect, and the sequence was 1:33 and interlaced. Once I created a new sequence with progressive fields and 1:1 ratio and selected all the old files and pasted them into the new sequence it worked fine, and all the pixelation was gone.

There is probably a way to change the settings on an existing sequence, but I couldn’t find it
