Video Output on 15in MBP
Hi All,
I am looking for a way to output video from my 15in MBP to a ViewCast GoStream(has component and s-video inputs). Currently, the only solution I have found is the Matrox MXO, which would work, but before I go and spend a whole grand to buy it, I was wondering if there were any cheaper alternatives.

Does your MacBook Pro have the Express34 slot? If not, then that is your cheap option. The other option would be the AJA IOHD…via firewire 800. That’s triple the cost. If you have the Express34 slot, then look at the MXO2 Mini. If no Express34….hosed.

No express slot unfortunately. This missing express slot is really starting to kill me (I posted about the P2 reader a little while back that you responded to).

If S-Video will do you could do it with a DVI to S-Video adapter:
