  • Video on my external monitor is pixelated

I am cutting a piece for a client and was given some HD video with the following specs….Quicktime Movie, 1920X1080, apple ProRes 422. In final cut pro my sequence settings match everything perfectly, I use a AJA Kona card, and the video looks fine on my computer monitor but the external Sony broadcast monitor looks like crap. It looks like the video frame rates are off and is all pixelated. I have the video running through a Sony DVCam deck to the external monitor. I have tried to change and re-change settings with no luck. Any Ideas anyone????

Look in the Kona Control Panel. It is set to downconvert?

    I don’t understand.
You say that you have a Kona to a broadcast monitor, then you say that you have it through a DVCam desk.
