    Video Noise in MPEG-1

    Hi – I’m currently having issues with MPEG-1. I can crunch out a 352×240 video that looks fine, but when I change the size to 400×300, I get video noise/flickering and the video almost gets a grainy analog look. I have tried a couple of different sizes, but the only one that produces good results is 352×240. I need the video to be bigger than that. Kicking up the black level helps a little bit…but that’s obviously not the right solution because it looks fine at 352×240…

    MPEG-1
    1000Kbps
    1.0000 Square Pixel
    I-Frame: 15

    Please let me know if you have any thoughts.

    Both height and width should be divisible by 16.

    Thanks for the reply Mike. I thought that might be it too…but I crunched one out at 400×304 and had the same issue…

    Those are both divisible by 16…let me know if you have any other thoughts.
