  Video manipulation collage-overlapping 2 videos

  Dear COW Team!

  I am not sure how to ask the right question and therefor I do not know where to post this question. I will try to explain what I am looking for.
  I would like to know how I can overlap 2 videos and make the upper one transparent so that we can see the one below but only in the shape of the first video.

  I can show you a link where this technique has been done in a picture manipulation as a collage but I would like to do the same in film.

  Which program(s) do I need to be able to produce the same in video?
