Video lags audio premier pro cs5, footage from flip video
A friend of mine gave his footage taken from Flip. I brought that footage on my premier pro cs5 sequence. After dragging the footage onto to a sequence in my time line, I see that video is lagging behind, audio is ahead. Here are my footage settings from the project panel and my sequence settings.

Movie, 1280 x 720 (1.0), video used 1 time
1:05:44:25, 30fps
44100Hz – Compressed -Stereo, audio used 1 timeSequence settings: I am using DV NTSC Widescreen 48KHz preset. Don’t know if this is right or wrong?
Frame size 720×480 (1.21)
Frame rate: 29.97 fps
Pixel Aspect Ration DV/NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2121)
Fields: Lower fields first
Audio Sample rate: 48000 samples/secDefinitely I see there is a difference in fps, pixel aspect ratio square vs 1.2121 and audio sample rate.
I did right click on the footage in project pancel and do Modify > Intrepret footage and chose every thing “from file”.
Can some one help me how to make video and audio sync? What changes should I make in my premier pro? Ultimately I want to create a ntsc dvd5.

I’ve run into this issue as well. I didn’t solve the problem, but here’s what I’ve done as a work around. Unlink the audio/video, and adjust the speed/duration of the video file to 100.1 percent. Relink the files. This was only for personal use so I didn’t have a demanding client to answer to. Hope there’s a more reliable answer soon.
