Video lagging in playback
For some reason when I play back my files or preview them it lags. Sometimes it plays okay but sometimes it stutters when playing back. I’m playing files I imported from a XDCAM EX1 and have the new Mac Pros with 10 gb of ram with Raptor drives so I thought it would keep up with HD clips pretty well. I also tried playing back through my firewire 800 lacie drives but still have some lagging effect.

I had the same issue on my new macpro. go into preferences -> energy saver -> and uncheck put the hard disk to sleep.
