Every movie or sequence I create in motion has a regular jitter. It seems as though there is a repeat frame every 12 frames. Is this common and can it be rectified?

Not sure I understand what the probem is. Jitter is frequently a result of field-mismatches or a lack of motion blur. Duplicated frames are frequently a result of a timebase (frame rate) issue. Are you using PAL or NTSC? Frame rate? Field dominance?

    Hi, Thanks for the response.
I am working in PAL format, the best I can describe the problem is thus:
whatever sequence I create in motion presents with the same problem. On playback in either FCP or Quicktime viewer the video pauses regularly every 1 second and one frame. it is as though one frame repeats at this point. I can delete one frame every 1.01 seconds, but this is not a great way to work.
    I hope you can assist.
    Regards, Ezio
