In the project panel, some clips are listed as 720×480 (.9) Others are 720×480 (1.2) What is the number in the brackets and how can I ensure imported video is the same resolution?

720X480 (1.2) means that the pixels forming the images in your clip are rectangles that have a 1.2(H) X 1.0(W) Width/Height form factor. These result in a Widescreen TV format
720X480 (O.9) means that the rectangles have a 0.9(W) X 1.0(H) form factor. These result in the normal TV format: 720*0.9/480 usually designated as the 4:3 format.
Note that in both cases the resolution is the same 720 pixels X (Width) by 480 (Height). Only the shape of the pixels varies between the two formats.
