Whenever I import a Mpeg4 video file into Adobe Premiere Pro it imports as an audio. How can i fix this? Many of the converter sites seem to have no effect and/or take forever to import.

What version of Premiere Pro are you using? What computer? Any recent updates or changes?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2015.02 (as of 6/2016)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

Where did the video come from – camcorder, screen cap software? If this is AVCHD footage for instance, best to copy entire contents of SD card to computer hard drive, all folders included, then in Premiere import using Media Browser tab rather than File > Import. Some of the newer camcorder formats have metadata included on the SD card that is critical in helping Premiere to properly recognize and handle the media. This often fixes a lot of issues.

    Thanks
