Video grossly interlaced
Hi, I am having some technical trouble with Final Cut/ and or my computer. My camera is a Sony HDR-HD5, which shoots on 1080i. But the transition between camera, to capture, to Final Cut is very drastic.
The footage looks absolutely perfect when looking at it on the camera. When I’m importing it into Final Cut however, the Capture window shows a much more muted and lower contrasted image. Then, even worse, when I watch the footage back on my computer after uploading it, whether in Final Cut or even in Quicktime, the footage is disgustingly interlaced, to the point it actually warps the image.
I know there is an option to “De-interlace” footage through filters, but by the time I have de-interlaced everything, it looks very fuzzy (better than interlaced, but still irritating). Does anyone know what is going on or have any suggestions?
