Video from iMovie to client monitor
I also posted this in the iPhone Forum but I figured I would post it hear as well ’cause I’ll be posting in FCP and I’m looking for a little more of a “Pro” answer.
Does any know if it is possible or how you mirror what you are shooting in iMovie to another viewing source? Basically, I want to shoot and the client wants watch what i’m shooting on a different monitor or on an iPad or TV. I was told by our local Apple store that it is not possible, I can do it with a Jailbroken phone but that is not an option.

Not possible. You will need to get an external monitor that connects directly to the camera.

In this case, it sounds like the “camera” is an iPhone.
I’m not aware of any hardware or software that would let you view what an iPhone is recording with its built-in camera on an external device, either wirelessly or via a cable.

I think you guys are right i found an App that will stream it but it’s more a of “turn your iPhone into a Nanny cam” kinda thing. So i guess it’ll be shoot, import in iPhoto and have the client review in QT and cut in FCP. It’ll be a little slower but fortunately it’s only a 30 sec spot.
