Video Effect from house on haunted hill in premiere?
I am trying to re-create the video effect that can be found in “House on Haunted Hill” and “Stir of Echos”. It is the gittery movement that the Dr. [Dr. Vanicut; House on Haunted Hill] and the dead girl from Stir of Echos. I need to find out how to do this and if it can be re-created in Premiere Pro 1.5. Please help.

I don’t have a visual reference to what you describe, but based solely on the words, take a look at Trapcode Shine from https://www.trapcode.com. You can use the plugin in Premiere Pro, by installing it in Plugins/en_US

I was watching the dvd commentary form “Hill” and they had the actor walk backwards really slow then reversed the film.

Alot of this effect is done using frame rates on film.
The talent moves slowly, and sometimes in reverse, and then it is sped up to standard timing.
It’s a stop motion style approach, but obviously not that slow.
You can also do it in real time, again with frame rates. Record at say 100 frames a second ( for arguement sake) and then take 24 frames per actual 100 frames (realtime second). This doesn’t change your timing, but it the movement becomes jerky and stop motion like.
To get this effect, solely in post is a challenge. You’ll most like get a security footage style effect.
