    Video Copilot FMP presets

    Hi
    Has anyone used Andrew Kramer’s(videocopilot) Film Magic Pro presets? I seem to notice 8 bit artifacts and was wondering if these preset effects are 8 bit only?

    If 8bit, is there any way you can increase the quality/bit depth of an 8 bit effect?

    since they are just presets, they are victim to whether the effect(s) that they are using to color grade is/are 8, 16 or 32-bit capable.

    you can use the hdr compander effect to help in cases where you have higher bit depth footage and comps.
