video cards
i am a college student who is setting up an Avid editing station for the first time. i have a copy of Xpress Pro that i got for one of those student deals, so it is an educational version, dont know if that actually means anyting. Anyways my question was concearning the appropiate video card. It says in the Readme file that avid xpress is only compatable with Nvidia Quadro FX 1100, 1300, and 1500. All of those cards are out of my price range at the moment and i was wondering if the Nvidia Quadro Fx560 would work with avid. It says that “other cards might work” i just dont want to dump the money if it wont work. Or would it be better to actually save some money and get the recomended ones. If anyone knows anything regarding this topic i would appreciate it. thanks.
