  • Video Cardboard Cutout Technique?

    Calling all C4D Experts!

So I have a new job that we are creating sort of a construction paper world in C4D. Not low poly, just “2D-3D / cardboard cut-out” kind of look. The idea is to have a woman walking be shot on green screen video, then edited with a fill so its just a realistic walking silhouette. I know you can import alpha video footage in C4D, BUT how could I extrude that video so that there was a little depth on it? Think animating a cardboard cut out… I’ve attached and image for reference. The woman would be a video walking. Can you extrude alpha video or is there a technique to achieve this? Right now its just very 2D but I want to give it a slight depth to mimic cardboard. Any help MUCH appreciated.
