    Greetings!

I’m shifting gears to work with HDV, and in doing so I plan to move to Vegas 6. Along with Vegas (and ConnectHD), I’m building a new computer for HDV editing. The system will be based on XP-Pro OS, a Pentium D 3.0 ghz dual core processor with compatible Intel chipset motherboard. Now I’m concerned about all the rest of the components and whether they will be compatible with Vegas 6 and beyond. Can anyone tell me what set-up they are using for HDV, and whether they’re successful? A couple of points: 1. Should I really look at setting up the hard drives in RAID configuration? I do have a dedicated drive just for the videos. 2. What kind of graphics card should I have, and what would be the minimum that I can get by with? 3. I do a lot of chromakeying. Aside from the routine problems with keying HDV, does Vegas do a reasonable job keying? (I use Premiere Pro 1.5 right now, which does pretty well with keying.)

    Thanks much!
    Max.
