  • video card for Motion 2?

Posted by Kent Beeson on December 8, 2006 at 5:38 pm

    Hello

I went to load Motion 2 on my laptop – I just had it upgraded to a 120 gig hard drive from a 60 gig, now I have room for all my software but as I went to install Motion 2 I got an error message saying I don’t have the right or appropriate video card…Well, what do I need, becasue every other app in FCP studio works fine on my lap top with the video card I have.

What do I need, where to get it and how much?

    Thanks much

You cant upgrade the video card on a laptop, even if it woould intall on your 1Ghz G4 laptop the performace yould not be very good at all.

Please don’t cross post stuff like this. Wastes lots of time and energy.
You got good responses over on apple.com.
The fundamental problem is not the graphics card anyway. You failed to ascertain whether Motion 2 will run on your 1G G4. It won’t. Minimum CPU specs are 1.25G.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
