I’ve been playing with FCPX v1.0 and Lion. A while back, I tried to download 10.0.1 to find my ATI3870 wasn’t the right card. With 10.0.3 I’m ready to commit to a better video card. I’d like to have a CUDA capability (for AfterFX) but have read a lot of posts and reviews that claim the NVIDIA drivers for OpenCL leave a lot to be desired. What video cards are folks using with FCPX?

I had the ATI Radeon HD 3870. But now I installed the ATI Radeon HD 5770. It should run fine on your system.

Well after effects doesnt use cuda at all. It uses open gl. Mainly you need cpu cores and ram for AE. Only some effects use the gpu if at all
