I have found many reports here about this problem but no solutions.

I am trying to capture from a Sony JH 3 deck using a Blackmagic Multibridge Extreme on MAC as PAL. The deck is auto detecting correctly in Avid.

It is capturing 1 frame too early. I can not find any adjustment for it like FCP has.

It is the same on all 3 of my MC6 and Symphony systems.

Can anyone direct me to a solution as I desperately need precise frame accurate capture.

    cheers

And to add an update – edit to tape (HDW1800) occurs 1 frame late and leaves a black hole of 1 frame. That means that the playback start is 1 frame late as it is the deck that is doing the actual edit from the timecode the Avid sends it.

    Hi Baz,
I’m experiencing a similar problem with my Multibridge Eclipse, specifically during digital cut. Did you ever find a solution?

    Hello Daniel

I reported the problem to Avid and they wanted me to PAY MONEY before they would look into THEIR PROBLEM!

I have since STOPPED using any of my 4 Avid systems and gone back to FCP7 which DOES do frame accurate edit to tape.

I have now reported the problem with Blackmagic who are investigating the problem.
It may help if you also report it to Blackmagic support.
