Its been 10 years since I have played with video editing. I just purchased Sony vega plat 9.0 and am looking for a video capture camer. I would like to go directly to PC and not have to upload recorded video from camera. It seem bestbuy and local electrnic stores have moved away from firewire devices. can anyone suggest a mid-range camer. the main purpose is to create Youtube teaching videos so High quality in to an issue. I event though a webcam might work but I needed some input before buying.

Get a camera that records to SD card. Get a card reader for your PC and just plug the card in and drag and drop.

I use the Canon HF100. Vegas has no problem editing the files and I never use the USB cable. I just put the card in the PC and copy the files to whatever folder I am storing them in.

Thats true but each time i refresh I have to take time to adjust the window.
They could make it less anoying. Its like trying to read a book with a strobe light in your face. Thank you for your help but I have to search for another source for information that less distracting.
