Hi. I’m new to Sony Vegas. I used to edit with Avid Liquid but ran into problems with it crashing my computer.

When I capture video from my Sony Deck, it breaks down my video into smaller clips. How do i get the video to come in as all one clip as Liquid does. The clip can be from 30 minutes to 3 hours. I don’t want to have to deal with small clips. I want the entire tape to come in as one.

Also, is there an easy way to change audio from stereo to mono. I use two mics, one wireless and need to use 1 channel split into mono instead of stereo.

    Thanks for your help.

Turn off Scene Detection in your capture app options.

Duplicate the audio track and then right-click it and select “Channels – Right (or Left) Only”.
