video , but no audio
So, I just bought Movie Studio 9.0. When I use video capture, the capture is fine, but when it’s put on the timeline, there is no audio. The camera has great audio, capture audio is selected, and everything seems to be okay, but there is still no audio. It’s kind of frustrating. I’m used to working with Final Cut.

What is the camera?
How are you putting it on the timeline?
What settings are you using for the camera to record audio?
Do you hear audio on the tape playback when it is in the camera?

camera is a panasonic ag dvx 100b
I’m just trying to capture video and audio onto the timeline. There is audioin the capture video window and on the tape, but it just isn’t appearing when dragged onto the timeline.
Audi and video import into the program easily..just doesn’t capture.

Can you take a portion of a file that has both audio and video (5 seconds or so) and upload it somewhere where I can download it and see what I get when I put it on the timeline. I know other Vegas users have this camera and have not had the issue you are having.
Can you tell me how you are getting the footage from your camera to your computer? Can you also tell me how you are getting the footage to the timeline (from the project media? From a folder in windows? Right clicking the file and telling it to open with Vegas?).
