VHS/Hi8 Clips into FCP
I am wondering if it is possible to convert VHS and Hi8 videos to clips that I can directly import into Final Cut Pro?
I don’t want the digital clips to be transferred directly to a DVD. The most important thing is that the digital clip can be easily used in FCP.

Yes it is. You either need a capture card type device, or a HDV/DVdeck with external inputs that can convert on the fly and pass thru on FW for FCP Log and Capture.
