I have a bunch of VHS tapes that I want to put on DVD. My PVR can’t take the tapes, since the tapes are copy protected.

The only dvice I’ve found for Mac is the Elgato EyeTV 250 Plus.

Looks good and not that expensive. However, it seems to create native MPEG-2 files. I might want to edit the stuff and perhaps also put on DV.

Is there any other capture cards I should look into? Normally I work with P2 footage and Final Cut Studio 2.

You need miniDV or DV camera with SVideo/RCA inputs,
and you can just…capture DV video to your computer
