VERY simple editing question
Adobe premiere pro cs5.5.
Simply, if I have two clips side by side, and I want to put a 3rd clip in between them, is there a way for me to put that clip in between and it will push the 2nd clip forward? right now, I drop a clip in between two clips, that new clip overlaps and erases the other clip. I’d like to be able to put a clip between the two and then the 2nd clip out of the two is pushed forward. Is there a trick to that? Thanks. -

You want an insert edit. This page will tell you all about it, and a few other ways of placing a clip on the timeline.
