    Hello,

I am running 2.0 on a more-than-capable machine. I’m not going to list all of the techno crap, but it does have 2.40 GHZ 3.25 GB of RAM, Intel dual core processor, and an Nvidia Quadra FX1500 video card. I run XP pro.

When I open my project, initially, the timeline plays fine. And then, all of a sudden, only the audio and certain video plays back. The native AVI files (that don’t require rendering) refuse to play, and the unrendered and rendered files (to which I’ve altered) play perfectly. If I restart Premiere, the problem goes away, but only for a few minutes. Any guesses as to what’s going on here?

I’ve run into that problem too. I’ve noticed that if I have programs like “Utorrent” running, it really doesn’t agree with Premiere. Try eliminating as many non vital programs in your system tray and see what that does!
