Thanks, JPD. I don’t know how folks like the editor find the time to go thru all that raw material to separate out the best clips; it must be a very tedious and painstaking long process. I would have to be super-motivated or just very much in love with the project to devote so much effort into it.

In my youth, I made a music video out of the Specials’ “Sock It To ‘Em, J.B.”, that was like this. I only (ONLY) had to rent and watch all the Sean Connery Bond movies (plus Moonraker). and even limited to that for source material, it still took a long time to pick out the bits I might want to use. (This link is someone else with the same idea: I like to think mine was better:-)

) When your source material is all the best dancing shots made in 100 years of cinema, that is WORK.

Anyone donated to the BFI, the Eastman House or the Film Foundation yet? I put in a good three weeks’ work for this. Surely it’s worth a $10 donation to help preserve the cinematic treasures of the past for future generations to enjoy?

I agree, Louie: can you give details on your process, your workflow? And why did you do it in the first place? 🙂
