In despair at the very end of all my hard work!!

Playback gives a very, very loud click at the end of each song on DVD through TV. Tried 2 different DVD’s and TV’s

I have inserted faders. The click is not audible in Sony Vegas Pro 8.

I have substituted words instead of music and shorter than the accompanying video and the very loud click comes at the end of the audio.

I have rendered in Wave and it is even louder in Sony waves 64.

I wanted to use Wave or preferably Sony Waves 64 to get the best singing quality and the DVD has sufficient space to allow this.

I have played the rendered file back through Windows player, before I put it into Sony Architect, and it is slightly there on the computer.

A song is made of of say 4 verses and each verse has a different file and there is no click at the end of each verse only after the audio completely finishes.

I use Windows XP Professional 4Ram.

    Thank you

Have you checked a different stand alone DVD player/TV/Receiver? Basically have you tried it at a friends house just to ensure that it is not your receiver changing decoders once the audio stream stops? Whenever I cycle through my BluRay Disc player/PC/TV via my TV remote I get a pop if the BluRay disc player is on. You could be getting something similar when it realizes the audio stream is no longer there.

Another thing to consider is to start a new instance of Vegas, add a wav file to the timeline (not the same ones giving you issues)- perhaps a sample from the net somewhere and burn it to disc with say a picture on the timeline for the video stream. Give it a go on the same system. Do you get the same results? If so, there is something up with your system. If not, well, now you have to find what is causing the issue in your particular project. I would start by copying over one piece at a time, rendering it out and seeing if you get the pop in your windows media player. If not, keep adding until you find the culprit.

Also, you may want to make sure you don’t have any pieces of detached events where the pops are. Zoom in real close to the timeline where the pops are showing up and see if you can see anything. Don’t forget to look at other tracks and on top of the track with your main audio.

Using sony vegas Pro nesting I have put everything into another file. No clicks at the end of any songs only at the very end.

I played it on the Church system this morning (i.e. no TV) and the click was tremendous.

It doesnt seem to be related to the recording(as I have tried speech with no fx and still there) but when the file goes from audio to silence there is this very loud click. I can’t hear it in sony vegas itself.

It only starts to show up after rendering and I play back through Windows media or TV or as above the Church system. I have tried ac3 – a variety of dialog normalization from -31 ot -23; wave and sony64 all have the click. The loudest click is after sony64 but this has the sweetest sound so is the rendering I would like to use.
I have Windows xp pro and 4 gig of RAM.

    Any more help?

    Thank you

Can you post a sample of the original file and a rendered one?

Here are the two files without the “work around” below.
At the moment I am using a “work around” by putting a blank text file at the end for 30 seconds so it is likely the listener will have switched off. Eventhough there is no audio underneath there is still the loud click at the end. It is like if you unplugged an electric guitar without switching the amplifier off first.
    Thank you
