    Fellow FCP Users,

I am new to FCP. I am running latest software on a dual 2.7 G5 with 8gig of Ram on board. My video capture card is a Kona LS card.

My problem is that I am experiencing a 1 to 2 line vertical shift on the last frame of some dissolves in a sequence. This happens irrespective of whether I render the sequence.

I have checked all capture settings and sequence settings including fields dominance etc.

Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong would be greatfully appreciated,

    Wally

Are you encoding as progressive video? If you aren’t, then you are seeing the interlacing. You can see also this issue on commercial DVD’s. Use progressive and the problem wil be solved.

    Thanks for your help!
