Vegasaur is causing Vegas to crash!
Posted by Gabriel Meono on February 5, 2016 at 10:39 pmVegasaur 2.4 causes Vegas 13 to crash while importing any media, this does happen by dragging the media in the timeline or by browsing it from Vegas.
As soon an item is imported or placed directly on the timeline Vegas will crash immediately.
If Vegasaur is uninstalled Vegas will continue to work uninterruptedly.
Is there a way to fix this?

February 6, 2016 at 3:10 amI’ve never had (or heard of) a problem like that with Vegasaur. Since removing and re-installing Vegasaur doesn’t work, have you tried a re-install of Vegas. Just make sure you save all of your presets. Do you have any other plug-ins installed? When did your problem start? Have you installed any other programs recently that make use of .Net? You might want to download and install the latest version from Microsoft. Just make sure you create a restore point. In any case, suggest you email Vegasaur and report your problem. In the past, they have always been very responsive.

February 6, 2016 at 4:33 amHi Wayne, sorry for confusing you. Vegas works perfectly without Vegasaur, as soon as it’s installed the program crashes when importing media into Vegas, every single time. Without Vegasaur Vegas behaves correctly and without crashes. Therefore Vegasaur is causing the crashes.

February 6, 2016 at 10:39 amWell then contact Vegasaur and let them know of the problem
you are having, and be detailed in your explanation.
They are normally prompt in resolving their software issues.

February 6, 2016 at 3:35 pmI was able to fix the problem by clicking on “Remove All Unused Media From Project”. There was a lot of garbage in the project, somehow Vegasaur didn’t like that.
Thank you! -
