  • Vegas9: want to either add tracks with no fx, or add a keyboard s.cut for “dupe track”

Hi – as the title says, I wish to do one of two things:

    1) Everytime I add an audio track, there are three fx that are added with the track. I want to add audio tracks with no fx. I know I can deleted them, but this becomes tedious with a large amount of tracks, and would be much simpler to be able to add tracks with no fx at all. Didn’t see anything in the prefs. This possible?

    2) The alternative, would be a keyboard shortcut for “duplicate track”. This way, I can create one track, kill the fx, and easily dupe that track many times. I didnt see “duplicate track” in the keyboard shortcut panel.

Any help will be appreciated – thanks!

Those FX do nothing until you actually use them in some way, shape or form so just ignore them as they won’t affect any audio on any track the way there are.

As Mike said they do not affect the project by default, but if you want to disable them, follow these steps:
    1) Remove audio fx
    2) Right click the track and select Set Default Track Properties
    3) Switch off all options but Track FX and click OK
