Vegas Video Problem
Hello I’m a recent user of video editing software, but I understand some things, I’m not a total newb (I think).
So here’s my problem.
I record my videos with a Toshiba Camileo P-10.
I record in Full HD 1080p.It records in AVI here’s the specs:
I had tons of problems with this type of file, in Premiere CS 5 I can’t preview the video properly, it runs like 1 frame per second.
In Sony Vegas I couldn’t import the video to the timeline, so I downloaded the K-lite Mega codec pack and now i can import it but the video gets weird… like this:
You see.. it’s like mirrored or split, I don’t understand what do I have to do in order to get this working.
This happens in windows live movie maker too, the preview video is shown like in vegas, but when i export it it gets normal.
This doesn’t happen in vegas, vegas renders my video just like that.I’m not optimist about finding a fix for this, I would pay someone if they could help me fix this LOL
I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0.

There have many forum threads warning against installing codec packs. I would uninstall or restore to before you installed. H.264 is highly compressed and hard to edit with any NLE. I would convert the files to avi and edit that. Here’s a link to a free converter.
