New user of Twixtor with Vegas pro 10. Latest version of twixtor with latest build of 10. Windows 7 ultimate, 64bit, 32GB RAM.

My question is whether I can use footage with an alpha channel? I rendered out an AVI using the Lagarith code from particle illusion with ‘enable transparency’ set, as I want to put additional media ‘behind’ the track. if I set the media’s alpha channel to ‘premultipled, or premultiplied dirty’ to enable alpha, twixtor generates a load of exception dialogues saying ‘RVOfxTwixtor4Common::getInputImage(): Warning, the source image has non-zero RGB values in pixel with zero in Alpha channel.

Does this mean that I cannot use video clips with alpha channels in Twixtor?

    Thanks

It should only give 1 warning one time – will look into this

Twixtor should work fine with clips with alpha

Basically the warning is telling you that Sony returns to us Premultiplied and your image is not premultiplied since you have RGB values that are not ZERO when alpha is ZERO (multiply by ZERO = ZERO).

    Pierre,

Many thanks for the prompt response. I changes to ‘premultiplied, dirty and it seems to have stopped the warnings – but we will see.

    Thanks again.
