Vegas screen resolution

If you’re watching on computers with different resolutions, there’s your issue. You have to adjust the monitor resolution, Vegas isn’t creating the problem if you’re keeping the original video resolution is screen size, so you can’t keep the same video size in different resolutions.

As Angelo pointed out, the issue is with the different monitors
that you are viewing the video in. So basically its no issue to
be concerned over.

How can I make a clip which looks the same in different resolutions?
I mean 2 billion people with different puters and resolutions, when I watch a dvd(movie or concert) on different puters, it looks the same, actors don’t get stretched or enlarged lol

Why not if people will watch my clip on different ways?
In one puter I’ll look short and fat, on the other tall and skinny hahahahahaha

Can you post it? I kind of wonder if there’s some other issue you’re getting at. People viewing your videos in different resolutions is just something that every filmmaker, videographer, and broadcaster deals with. It’s why people should have their monitors properly calibrated, but there’s nothing you can really do except make the best video you can.

The bottom line is that you can’t.
You’re at the mercy of the end user and how they have their particular media player set up, most of the time not properly 🙁
For example, play the same video with Windows Media Player, QuickTime player, VLC, DivX, etc. and odds are that each one will show you something a bit different.

Guys maybe I used wrong words cause english is not my first language.
Here I go again.
If I watch a U2(band dvd) on different computers, dvd looks the same.
My clip made in my laptop looks perfect but when I watch it on different puters, I got fat, sometimes skinny etc. Seems like players stretch my clip to fit that computer screen BUT those computers don’t do that for that U2 dvd I used as an example.
So I think puters should stretch my clip using proportion to keep it always with the same dimensions that’s why I thoght maybe there was a button in vegas(or any other video editor) to kkep my clip always with the same proportion in all computers.

if desktop monitor settings (resolutions) are correct, there would be no problem.

Just a thought here.. Joao says he has rendered to wmv, and is looking at that file on different computers, but his example is of a compiled DVD… and this is not handled the same way. Does that make sense?
