Vegas rendering Black Screen with Audio
Posted by Kieran Burcham on February 2, 2013 at 8:34 pmHi,
I’ve recently edited a video review of the beta for the game “Crysis 3”, however when I try and render it out, it renders only the audio, no video at all. I have tried rendering loops and stuff as well as different formats, but its no good. I have resampling disabled.
Render settings:

February 2, 2013 at 9:57 pmI created a template that matched the one in your picture and it rendered fine on my Vegas Pro 12.0 workstation so it’s not your render template.
What codec does the source video use?
Do you have any codec-paks installed? (if so uninstall them and re-install Vegas Pro)

OK, Here are two thing to try:
(1) Create a new project with just a Sony Text Title in it and try and render with that template. This will tell you if there is a render problem with the template. (I assume this will work)
(2) Place one of the MP4 files in a new project and try and render it with that template (assuming #1 worked). This will tell you if the problem is the source video. (I assume this will not work)
Let us know what you find out.

Did you apply any FX to the audio? Is it not tinny in the project but is in the render? What did you change on the audio tab of that render template?
