October 19, 2009 at 11:34 amHi,
I write from Paris region.
My camera is Sony HDR-SR12E
Working with Vegas Pro9.0 version (did not find the upgrade to 9.a or b)I found out that the project on the timeline shows up very well.
But, when rendering with Main Concept MPEG-2(*.mpg;*m2v;*m2t;-mpa)
and Flux vidéo Blu-Ray 1920 x 1080-24p 25Mbits/s the image is not so good any more (sometimes trembling a little bit and not so sharp anymore).
Has someone an idea how to resolve this problem ?Thanks for any help

November 4, 2009 at 2:02 amLooks like 9.0c is out. Tons of fixes…but not sure I see one to address this problem.

I’ve switched to Windows 7, and I’ve yet to install the 64-bit version, so we’ll see how my luck is! Anyone else try this yet? I would LOVE to not need TSMuxer to fix what Vegas is rendering.

November 4, 2009 at 11:35 amDownloaded the 64bit 9.0c version. I’m running with win7 64bit RC since the beginning of this thread (will eventually exchange my Vista for the real win7 soon).
Anyways, I did a complete uninstall of the 9.0b, then installed the 9.0c (just to be sure).
Just rendered one file, and…well, still will have to use TsMuxer.…sigh…

November 12, 2009 at 6:06 pmHello,
I’m having the same issue with Vegas Pro 9c..and I’ve tryed to fix it with TSMuxer. So far – it works fine, but there is a different problem now: As soon as the playback gets “close” to a cut or transition (about 1 or 2 seconds in advance), the video skips a bit (juddering, one time only). That happens with each an every transition. Vegas does Smart Rendering here. Looks like, there is some problem, if Vegas has to deal with transitions. If I render the whole file…there is no problem. But I really would like to use Smart Rendering here, ’cause it saves a lot of time. Perhaps another framerate-issue?
If I don’t use TSMuxer, the playback is fine…until the “8-Minutes” issue starts.
I’m using a 1920x1080i, 25FPS File, recorded by a Sony Cam.
Did someone of you experienced the same trouble? I feel a little “trapped” by having the choice between one or the other issue:-(I hope I did not confuse you guys too much and would really appreciate your help.
Thanks a lot!
Michael

January 20, 2010 at 11:33 pmMichael Pokern – i am having the exact same issue you mentioned here. after applying the tsmuxer fix i see that the video plays smoothly with the exception of a skip/flash right before a transition. i’m using win 7 64bit – i only see the skip/flash occur in windows media player. i’ve tried playing the file in splash player by mirillis and i don’t see the skip/flash occur – very strange indeed.
i’ve also rendered the file without audio and applied the tsmuxer fix. i noticed that the video did not skip/flash at the transtions when playing back in windows media player. something leads me to believe this is an audio issue. i’ve tried rendering and muxing different bitrates of the audio track to my video but am still seeing the skip/flash in wmp.
has anyone else gotten to this point?

January 27, 2010 at 2:47 amI just upgraded to Vegas Pro 9.0c (build 896)-
My project setting is HDV 720-30p (1280×720, 29.970 fps), when I tried to render a comp of AVI clips into MPEG-4 (.mp4) movie, the render was super slow, the movie was playable but anytime I tried to scrub, the QuickTime player just froze.
But when render the same project on Vegas Pro 8.0c (build 260), the movie came out fine, playable and scrub-able.
Then I did another test of said project with the Pro 9 to render a small clip (29MB)and a full length comp (382MB) with Pro 8, the large size movie still played fine while the tiny clip remained broken. I have the impression that something is seriously flawed with the Vegas Pro 9 codec. Not very cool with the upgrade – I’m afraid that I have to uninstall the new version and continue using the old faithful Pro 8! -

January 27, 2010 at 3:06 amI also forgot to mention that both versions are 32bit and run on Windows XP Pro Version5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600.
Besides the possibility of Codec’s flaw, the OS may have something to do with this too! -

February 5, 2010 at 7:12 amInterestingly I recently purchased Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9b and had exactly the same issue.
1. I used my Sony XR-500E (PAL version) to record 5 minutes of video with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio.
2. I extracted the MTS files and used Sony Vegas to put in very little transitions.
3. I then tried to render the movie to a M2TS file (used Sony AVC) with 5.1 channel audio.
4. The program was crashing like anything – sometimes without showing any error and sometimes showing an application error.I got frustrated and reported this back to Sony without any success till today. But I also downloaded Sony Vegas Pro 9c and tried to do the same thing. Interestingly Vegas Pro won’t crash, but it will create a movie which is completely out of sync with audio. When I reported this back to Sony, they told me to use DVD Architect to play the movie as Windows Media Player doesn’t have the correct codec. I couldn’t find an option in DVD Architect to use it as a player. Sony support has been an interesting experience for me.
I am now trying the TSMuxer solution.
