    Hello

If anyone can help I would be so grateful…

We have a Sony Vaio all in one (3GB RAM) plus external hard drive 1TB, and Sony Vegas Pro 9.
We have just had the computer ‘flattened’ (? Guy at the repair shop lingo) as we were having problems. (The computer was originally 4GB RAM prior to repair shop! only just seen the difference)
We are having same problem with vegas now as we were before it went to repair shop, although the other problems now seem fixed.
The problem being although all our other vegas projects are working ok, one project is driving us nuts and constantly freezing and coming up with ‘not responding’. This happens constantly, I can do one small action like cutting one bit and then it will do it, I may be lucky and do 2 actions but it will do it.
also it won’t let me render except in a low format with low quality results.
All our other projects are shot on a Sony HDV 1000e and we have no problems, this one involves editing mainly other peoples footage from another camera ( we have a few bits of our footage on it too) and they import fine and we were editing fine but suddenly its just a nightmare at every turn. We didn’t need to convert their footage to import it.
Do you think our footage is causing a problem in relation to their footage?
Does anyone have any ideas please what problem amy be?

    What are your project properties?

What are the properties of the footage you are trying to edit?

You will get the smoothest editing session when the project properties match the footage properties. Is that the case? or do you have footage at all different resolutions?
