Vegas Pro 9 : error occurred opening the media file ?
“an error occurred when opening the media file” is what I get this morning when opening a project I finished last night. It specifies the MP3 I used to score the video and asks if I want to:
Specify a replacement media file
Ignore error and leave media file offline
Ignore this an all subsequent errors
This is the 2nd time this has happened. The first time I believe I chose option #2 and then could no longer import MP3s, having to reinstall Vegas. Could someone tell me A) what’s going on here and B) which option to choose? What to do?

I don’t know a) but I’ve heard about this issue before.
One thing that should work is to convert the MP3 to a wav file first.
