As I already mentioned in the title, the preview Window is lagging. This happens sometimes when there is a cut between two video clips, and all the time when I’m using transitions. The Clips I’m using are full hd 120p/100Mbit/ s.
So I have two ideas how to solve this, but I’m not sure what the better solution is.

The first idea would be to upgrade my pc.
    My current pc:
    CPU: xeon e3-1231 v3
    MAINBOARD: Gigabyte h97m-d3h
    GPU: HIS R9 280X
SSD: Crucial MX200 250GB (Vegas Pro is installed here)
HDD: 7200 rpm 1TB (the footage is on this one)
The idea would be to upgrade the CPU to an i7 6800k and Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3 MAINBOARD. This would cost 500euros(593$).

My Second idea would be to buy an RAID System to edit my footage from.
I would probably buy 4 times the 1TB WD black and run them in a RAID 5 configuration. This would cost 393euros(466$)

What is the better option for me?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry to inform you, but the best solution is to simply stay with what you have!
There is always gonna be some degree of lag. However, your 1st idea would be the
    accurate one to follow…..
My system specs are by far, far less than yours and i am a very happy camper here in Vegas world.
    But, the decision is yours.

    Oh ok.
But how am i supposed to edit when I’m not able to see my footage because it is just a big lag. Sometimes i just get to see one frame for 3 seconds when I’m using transitions.
But thank you very much for your reply 🙂
