Vegas Pro 14: I want to move both audio and video, but will move one track when I select it

Yes, this is an issue I have been suffering from for a little while. I group both of the tracks, looks good and all, until I select an individual track. Now, to me, and probably a normal person, this highlights the track you clicked on, and when you split it, it splits both tracks, audio and video, which is good. Now, this started popping up recently where I group the tracks, and I click on one to split it, and then it splits ONE track, not both. I like doing the reverse effect sometimes while editing, and I can’t just have on track selected. I prefer to have the audio and video both split together. Otherwise, my editing takes longer.

How do I make the tracks stay together even if I select one track and split. It used to work that way, but now it doesn’t.

Hi Don,

I don’t have Vegas 14, but I have 13 and I don’t think there’s was much change in the interface between those two versions.
A couple of things to check:
Make sure ‘Ignore Event Grouping’ is not enabled by mistake.

You may have unintentionally removed either the video or the audio from the ‘group’ or cleared the group altogether. If so, you will need to re-group those video and audio events together. Search the help file on ‘Group Events’ if you need more info.
