    Hey everybody!

I have a video file that contains a pre-rendered credits scroll (black with white text) and when I open it in VLC and advance it frame-by-frame, it plays perfectly (each frame advances the credits).

But when I import that same file into Vegas Pro, making sure to match the framerate, it plays three frames fine, then “duplicates” frame three into frame four (the credits don’t move) and then frame five catches up (the credits jump twice as far). Even after rendering, this “skipping” still occurs.

The strange thing is, this doesn’t happen anywhere else in the video. I tried advancing frame-by-frame in other places and it plays out smoothly.

I tried doubling the frame rate to see what it looks like, but it seems like that fourth frame just doesn’t exist at all. Also, I tried uploading the same video but in a different format (MPEG-1, 23.976 FPS) and it worked just fine, so the trouble seems to be with my file.

I’m stumped, to say the least.

Okay, I tried importing the same file but at a lower bitrate and it works fine, so it seems to have something to do with the bitrate. But I still have no clue how to fix it.
