In Vegas Pro 10 rendering HD 1080-50i (1920×1080; 25,000 fps) footage to Sony AVC Internet 640×360-25p was no problem.
To do the same in In Vegas Pro 11 build 425 (I don’t (dare to) use build 511 anymore) I choose for Mainconcept AVC Multimedia wide (640×360; 25 i or p), because the Sony AVC Internet templates are no longer there. But this setting runs into an eeror (see screen copies). Does anyone know why this setting is rejected?

See a lot of complaints for that same issue in Vegas 11.
I suggest you use Vegas 10 to handle that render format
until its fixed in Vegas 11.

The missing Sony AVC Internet templates is an issue I’ve reported and hopefully they are working on a remedy. I’ve been using version 10 whenever I need these templates. Otherwise, 11 works well for me.

Don’t get me wrong I have Vegas Pro 10 standby. But I was wondering why this alternative isn’t working. Am I trying something which can’t be done or is it a failure in the software.

Here are the screen copies I forgot last time.

To be fair, I can use the Main Concept Internet template and it works almost as well. There are some artifacts in the MC render that are not present in the .mts footage or the Pro 10 rendering (screenshot below). I sent Sony three 4-second clips (.m2ts, Sony AVC Internet from Pro 10, and Main Concept Internet from Pro 11) so they can see the issue I’m having.

I’ve tried adjusting bitrate to no avail. So, I think Sony needs to add the templates that were there in 10 and missing in 11.

See my screenshots for Pro 10 template that work!

It is a failure in the software Harry…(Sadly).
